Term Description
Check-in Agent The Ando Check-in Agent is an application installed on the streaming computer at the local radio station. This application makes sure that the local streaming PC and the Ando central network are communicating with one another.
Click Through Rate (CTR) CTR’s are calculated by dividing the click-through number by the number of ad impressions. Historically, CTR have been considered the measure of success for all Internet ad campaigns. CTRs can be used as one metric for determining the success of a search or direct response campaign and for other A/B testing scenarios, such as copy testing. However, click-through rates should not be used to measure branding effectiveness. See Interaction Rates and Return on Investment (ROI).
Click-Through The action of clicking an ad unit and being redirected to another web page. The ad server that served the ad will count the total clicks and calculate the click-through rate (CTR).
Client Console The Client Console is the user interface that all clients access when they log into their Triton Digital accounts. Legacy Ando Media users will recognize this as the same Client Console that has been redesigned since the merger between Stream the World and Ando Media.
Co-op Advertising Advertising where part of the fees are paid by one party and part of the fees are paid by another party. Typically, a Co-Op buy must provide proof of performance and a copy of the script to both parties for reconciliation.
Companion Ads A term given to the display ads which reflect and support the brand or content in a video gateway or instream audio ad. The primary function of companion ads is to continue the branding or messaging of an ad as the ad is playing. The companion ads often offer links to the advertisers landing page or the ability to replay the video ad. It allows the Call to Action to be one click away from response.
Display Copy The main text of a display or search ad. In display ads, the ad copy can be embedded in a graphic or be a clickable link. In search, the amount of ad copy is limited by the number of characters allowed, 25 characters for the headline and 70 characters for the ad copy.
Gateway A Gateway ad is an advertisement that plays on the player when listeners first open the player to connect to the stream. Also know as a Preroll.
Impression An Impression is the number of times an Ad is "consumed." In other words its the number of times an instream ad is heard or the number of times a preroll ad is seen.
Injector Manager The Injector Manager is the Inventory management tool used to maintain and manage all Fill material that can be played on a station when they are in a stop set and there is no Paid Content available for play.
